Homeware Wishlist 2018

I am so, so excited to announce (that sounds so official and serious and weird but I couldn't think of another word soz) that my girlfriend and I will be moving in with each other next month! I know a good percentage of my audience are somewhat invested in mine and Paige's relationship from my YouTube channel, so i'm happy to update you with what's next for us!

After just over a year together and my current lease coming to an end, Paige and I have decided that now is a good time for us to move forward and move in, and we have just has our offer accepted on a lovely 1 bedroom flat in North London. Slightly unconventional in the lesbian world as most move just 2 weeks into the relationship, but we decided to be a little more sensible before signing any contracts...

Alongside moving comes a lot of things, if it's not estate agents it's landlords, and if it's not landlords it's admin fees - there is a lot of boring, mundane, adult-y things that you need to consider, so to give my brain some positive balance I have been lusting over various homeware bits that I thought I'd share! We're lucky to have found a relatively modern, neutral flat so we don't have to make too many changes to make it a home, but here's a few things we (I) have got our eye on.

01. Doormat (£32.99) // 02. Toaster (£41.99) // 03. Monstera Print (From £6.95) // 04. TV Unit (£9.00)
05. Neon Sign (£46.55) // 06. Bookcase (£16.00) // 07. Shower Curtain (£8.00) // 08. One Tree Hill Print (From £15.00)

I am quite a minimalist when it comes to decor, but at the same time I do like cutesy trinkets and statement pieces. If you start with plain white walls, it is so much easier to decorate your home as you will avoid clashing. It is a lot easier to add character with things like bed sheets and wall art, rather than a loud wallpaper that your landlord probably wouldn't approve anyway.

I am the queen of finding a good bargain, and my friends often laugh at me for constantly replying "eBay" whenever they ask where I bought something from, but eBay is a great start for homeware! Firstly, eBay do absolutely everything, so it's my go-to whether I want a new piece of furniture or just some sellotape. I've never used the bidding side of the site as i'd probably end up breaking my laptop if I lost something I really wanted, but like Amazon, there are so many sellers offering 'buy it now' prices so you can get something to your door in just a few days. I purchased some lovely marble bedsheets from eBay recently, as well as this cabinet from Amazon. I also got myself some marble vinyl from Amazon so I can do a bit of DIY when making our dressing table. Just because these retailers aren't your typical homeware establishments like Ikea and Dunelm (which are also great), doesn't mean you can't find some absolute steals, so always be sure to search what you're looking for on eBay and Amazon to grab yourself a bargain.

Some other great places to check out for homeware are Wilko, Etsy, Urban Outfitters, Primark and believe it or not, supermarkets! Places like Asda, Tesco and Sainsburys offer great, affordable homeware ranges, and I cannot fault Morrisons for their bedding.

I shall update you on the progress of our move and any other homeware finds, and we potentially may have some moving vlogs coming your way... Be sure to subscribe so you don't miss anything! Plug plug plug.
